Oil on wood.
This an older painting from last year that I abandoned for six months and returned to at a different point in my life and added the flowers and galaxy. This was also my first attempt at painting a realistic person with oils, as well as my first time painting on wood. I feel it was a large stepping stone to my progression from the usual attempts at recreating something from my imagination.

The title was inspired by Great expectations by Charles Dickens.
